A closer look at the Orioles 2012 design changes

Baseball fans everywhere loved Baltimore’s off-season changes, the various logos of their new identity are rated at least an 8 out of 10 here on SportsLogos.Net.

The Orioles made several changes design-wise during the off-season, some big, some very small.  I take an in-depth look at all the changes the Baltimore Orioles made to their logos and uniforms heading into this 2012 season over at The Score’s Getting Blanked blog.

Looks like last years. If they knew they were going to swith there new away logo they should’ve kept their 2011 away logo. Come On, think before doing something new!

I don’t like the hat logos.

Max, what are you saying? They adopted the Baltimore script in 2009 (the 2011 note is just pointing out that that’s what it looked like in 2011 not that they changed to it in 2011). With the return to the old school logo they made the slant of the Baltimore less dramatic (this was done to address an issue with the way the script is split on the jersey, it used to be that the L was present on both flaps of the jersey which occasionally looked like their were 2 Ls when the jersey got bunched up, now the BAL is on one side of the jersey and TIMORE is on the other).

I also encourage you to follow the link to the actual review of the changes rather than reacting only to the preview posted here. I’m sure what I just explained to you is addressed in the article.
